Veterans Have Priority Of Service At Chautauqua Works
Chautauqua Works — Jamestown location, was recently presented by the New York State Department of Labor for the Program Year 2015 a Veterans’ Program Incentive Office Award.
The Office Award is based on priority of service implementation. Offices that have demonstrated priority of services to veterans qualify for this award, and in order for the office to qualify for an incentive award they must have provided an initial assessment to a higher percentage of veterans than non-veterans and have a lower percentage of unemployed veterans than non-veterans exiting from services without a successful outcome.
Chautauqua Works provides services to all job seekers including career counseling, skills assessment, resume development, career workshops (such as job search strategies, networking, interview skills, etc.), computer and internet access, phones, faxes and copiers, job search resources and job placement assistance, vocational classroom training for those that qualify, online Talent Bank, access to qualified service providers, and referrals to other educational, training and social services.
Chautauqua Works is proud to offer Priority of Service to veterans and their eligible spouses. If you served in the military, you will be served first by the next available staff member and given first priority for jobs and training for which you are eligible and qualified.
Chautauqua Works partners with the New York State Department of Labor and, therefore, has on premises Veterans Representatives to assist veterans. Once identified as a Veteran or Eligible Veteran, you may receive services from any one of our staff members.
Chautauqua Works has two locations in Chautauqua County. They are located at 4 E. Third St., Jamestown and 407 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Either office can be reached at our toll free number 1-877-424-9031 or check out our services at www.chautauquaworks.com.
