Workforce Groups To Host Meeting
The Chautauqua Workforce Development Board and the Cattaraugus-Allegany Workforce Development Board will continue their discussion on growing the regional workforce to support the advanced manufacturing sector Wednesday at Jamestown Community College’s Manufacturing Technology Institute.
The groups are looking for employer feedback on skill shortages recognized in the area, knowledge of current training programs in the areas dealing with those shortages and ways that the workforce development boards can help bridge the gap between employers and training providers to increase the talent pipeline in advanced manufacturing. The session will include a review of the feedback provided at the June 6 meeting and asking employers to determine which initiatives should be undertaken first.
Reservations are requested by Monday by emailing Jody Cheney at email@example.com.
