Lakewood Co. Proud Of Service
LAKEWOOD — Independent Health is proud to be celebrating its 20th year of providing service and one-on-one attention to the people of Jamestown and the surrounding communities.
It was in the fall of 1997 that the business opened their first Southern Tier office in downtown Jamestown. Five years later, we relocated down the road to Lakewood.
Last year, more than 1,600 area residents visited their Lakewood office at 66 Chautauqua Ave. to get assistance with their health care coverage and benefits. Employers and health insurance brokers throughout the Southern Tier have also come to rely on their staff as a trusted partner and resource through the years.
The Lakewood location is open Monday through Friday for almost 10 months out of the year. It is then transformed into a Medicare information center during the Medicare annual enrollment period. With this year’s Medicare annual enrollment period happening now, Independent Health has seven knowledgeable red shirt employees who are available Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays to meet with individuals and help them find the right Medicare advantage plan for 2018. The office is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays so that our red shirt employees can bring their expertise to the Olean YMCA and Dunkirk Senior Center.
In addition to assisting customers with their health coverage needs, Independent Health has been very active in the local community. For example: Independent Health supported the Jamestown Family YMCA and Lakewood Family YMCA in presenting a series of fitness in the park classes at three different area parks this past summer; Independent Health supports the indoor soccer program at the Lakewood Family YMCA; Independent Health is one of the sponsors of the Team Hollyloft Tuesday Night Bike Rides, which take place throughout the Chautauqua Lake countryside from May through September; and Independent Health sponsors a house at the Erie 2-Chautauqua BOCES Safety Village.
Truck Lite System On Wabash Trucks
FALCONER — The Road Ready system by Truck-Lite Co. LLC, a worldwide leader in heavy-duty lighting, mirror, telematics and visibility systems, is now available on Wabash National dry and refrigerated van trailers.
The Road Ready system creates the industry’s first true wireless “smart” trailer with its solarpowered Master Control Unit. With a military-grade solar panel and an up-to-10-year, quickcharging battery, the Master Control Unit continually monitors and transmits crucial data from customizable Road Ready sensors to an intuitive user interface without requiring power from a tractor. The network data can also be managed via application programming interfaces, allowing it to integrate with existing fleet systems. The network is designed to maximize fleet efficiency and improve CSA performance while providing a return on investment.
“Wabash National is well known for their industry-leading innovations and diversified range of trailer products,” said Jon Stineman, US original equipment manufacturer sales director for Truck-Lite. “With Road Ready being the next generation of visibility systems from Truck-Lite, we are very excited to be a telematics option on new trailer specifications.”
The agnostic system is designed to be compatible with leading ABS, tire and LED lighting systems a fleet may employ today. Many of the industry’s most trusted monitoring systems have signed on as technical partners, such as Hendrickson and PSI, among others. Along with these compatible platforms, Road Ready’s customizable network of sensors makes it the most comprehensive telematics solution available.
