It’s time to turn back the clock by wearing your balloon paints and neon windbreaker to raise money to benefit hurricane relief efforts in Texas and Florida.

Urban Spin, located at 110 Mall Blvd., will be hosting a Spin-A-Thon from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, to raise money to donate to the United Way for relief efforts following hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Joe Walsh, Urban Spin owner, said originally they had planned the Spin-A-Thon to benefit Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas. However, with Hurricane Irma devastating Florida too, they decided to give all proceeds to victims of both hurricanes.

Walsh said there is a $15 entry fee, with each team being allowed three to four members.

He said there will be free T-shirts and catered lunch for participants.

People can sign up for the Spin-A-Thon by searching Urban Spin Mindbody in the App Store and downloading the app. People will then click on enrollment and select Hurricane Harvey Spin-A-Thon. People can also go to Urban Spin’s Facebook page for more information.

Walsh said the event will have a 90s theme and teams are encouraged to dress in 90s style, with a door prize for the best dressed team.
