Brookside Welcomes Associate Chiropractor
Dr. Lynn Pownall and Dr. Tamsin Pope of Brookside Professional Center, located in Brooklyn Square, are pleased to welcome new associate chiropractor, Dr. Matthew Steele, to the office.
”Since a young age, I have always been interested in the human body, its functions and its role in creating the human experience,” Steele said. ”Today, I am glad to work in a healthcare field where I can focus on these interests daily.”
Steele is a 2009 graduate of Frewsburg Central School and a 2013 graduate of Clarkson University. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree, he attended New York Chiropractic College where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2016. While attending NYCC, he served his student clerkship at NYCC’s outpatient clinic in Rochester. In addition, he completed clinic rotations at Monroe Community Hospital, St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center and the Rochester Veteran Affairs Outpatient Clinic. Steele was later awarded the Libero A. Violini Health Center Award for excellence in patient evaluation and adjustment procedures.
Steele is happy to be returning to Chautauqua County to serve its communities and surrounding areas.
”There is something genuinely special about being able to help the local members of the community where I grew up,” he said.
As a chiropractor, he is primarily concerned with examining, treating and preventing conditions of both the musculoskeletal system and nervous system. He also works to manage and improve one’s overall health and wellness, which may be disturbed as a result of dysfunction or insult to these systems. Steele promotes an evidence-based approach to patient care by adhering to the latest researched treatment protocols in an effort to achieve positive outcomes.
”It is incredibly rewarding to see people reach their health goals in response to care and return to doing activities that they have, often times, been limited from doing for awhile because of pain or other stressors,” he said.
Brookside Professional Center is located at 25 Harrison St., Jamestown, and may be contacted at 664-5966.
