Canine Rescue Open House Sat.

BPU Offices Closed Monday

While Jamestown Board of Public Utilities offices will be closed on Presidents’ Day, garbage and recycling will be collected on Monday, February 18. BPU Customer Service and other BPU offices will be closed on Monday with regular office hours resuming at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19. After-hour payments may be made by credit card, debit card and e-check at www.jamestownbpu.com and by phone at 661-1660, ext. 3. Payments also may be made by check in drop-off boxes located at the top of the BPU’s “D” driveway, 92 Steele St.; outside City Hall on Tracy Plaza; and at the Town of Ellicott Building in Falconer. For reports of trouble in all BPU Divisions, all hours, customers may call 661-1640.

Support Group To Resume Tuesday

FREDONIA — The Henry C. Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders at the State University of New York at Fredonia will resume offering support group meetings for stroke and head injury survivors and family members in February. The group will meet the first and third Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. in Thompson Hall Room E148. The first meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 19. Light refreshments will be provided. Additional meetings will be on Tuesday, March 5; Tuesday, March 19; Tuesday, April 2; Tuesday, April 16; and Tuesday, May 7.

Infinity Center Hosting Camp

The Infinity Center will host a four-day ‘Spring Into Music and Arts’ day camp from Tuesday, Feb. 19, to Friday, Feb. 22. Students will experience a variety of art, music, and theater activities, including making art, scripting and filming a movie, joining a band and exploring instruments. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Activities are appropriate for children between the ages of 6 and 12. For more information, contact the Infinity Center at 664-0991

Library Board To Meet Wednesday

BEMUS POINT –The Bemus Point Library Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the library. The public is welcome to attend.

Marvin House Hosting Lunch

Members of the Marvin Community House and guests will gather there for lunch on Thursday, February 21, at noon. The guest speaker is Birgitta Hofert, who will discuss how it felt to come from Sweden to America as a young child. Auto Club To Meet Wednesday

The Chautauqua Lake Region of the Antique Auto Club will meet at the War Vets on Fluvanna Avenue at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20. New members are welcome and don’t need an antique car to join. Call 287-3754 for more information.
