Mitrano Town Hall Set For Saturday

OLEAN — Democratic Congressional Candidate Tracy Mitrano will be hosting an open town hall this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Olean. The town hall, which will be held in the John J. Ash Community Center, will conclude at 12:30 p.m.

North Harmony Seniors To Meet

Members and guests of the North Harmony Senior Citizens are invited to the next meeting to be held on Monday, Sept. 17, at the Senior Center on Stow Road. Seventy-nine people attended the last meeting and chicken roasted dinner. Joanne Flammeo, local singer entertainer, provided a sing a long of the old and new tunes. The business portion of the meeting was conducted by President Ferry and members, that were present, approved the July minutes and July financial report. Membership was noted at 131 people.

Sacred Heart

To Hold Drawing

LAKEWOOD — Sacred Heart Parish in Lakewood will be having its annual Cash Club drawing and basket giveaway at 7 p.m. Saturday in the church hall at 380 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, next to Walmart. There are 26 cash prizes, including a first prize of $1,000. Tickets are available for a donation of $10 each and can be obtained at the parish office or at the door on the night of the party. Gun Giveaway To Be Held Sunday

The War Veterans Recreation Club is holding its 31st annual gun giveaway starting at 1 p.m. Sunday. Forty firearms will be given away along with a fire-proof safe with four firearms inside. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

History Society To Host Paul Leone

FLUVANNA — The Fluvanna Community Historical Society will host Paul Leone, local storyteller, on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Fluvanna Community Church. Leone will be talking about Chautauqua County ghosts. The meeting is open to the public.

Basketball Group Opens Admission

BUSTI — Southern Tier Upward Basketball and Cheerleading will hold registration and evaluation on Monday and Thursday and again on Monday, Oct. 1, and Thursday, Oct. 4, fromm 6 to 8 p.m. at the Busti Church of God gym. Rabies Clinic To Be Held Friday

FREWSBURG — The town of Carroll in Frewsburg will be holding a rabies clinic on Friday, Sept. 21, from 5-7 p.m. The clinic will take place behind the Town Hall at 5 W. Main St., Frewsburg.
