Thrift Shop Has Half-Off Dresses
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., will have clothing in all departments at half-price, including wedding dresses. All departments are fully stocked. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The shop is on summer hours and is closed Saturdays during July and August. Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays or during regular business hours. Those with large donations should call ahead at 664-1887. Off-street parking is available in church parking lot off East Fifth Street. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP. Proceeds are used locally.

STOCKTON — The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. today at the club grounds on Cemetery Road in Stockton. All members, or prospective members, are welcome to attend.
Free Gardening Advice Available
The Chautauqua County Master Gardeners of the Cornell Cooperative Extension offers free gardening advice to the public weekly until the end of September. PH soil tests are available. Gardners are also available from noon-2 p.m. Wednesdays by calling 664-9502, ext. 224, or at the Frank W. Bratt Ag Center, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown.
Bandshell Series To Continue
The Jamestown Summer Bandshell Performance series will feature a concert by the Jamestown Municipal Band, sponsored by The Resource Center, at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Goranson Bandshell in Allen Park. As in previous years, members of the Allen Park Women’s Club will continue in their tradition of providing coffee, fudge and other baked goods during all of the concerts. All concerts are free to the public. Those attending can bring lawn chairs, blankets or park their vehicles close by to listen to the music from their car.
Water District Board To Meet
The North Chautauqua County Water District will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Fireside Manor Restaurant, 5377 W. Lake Road, Dunkirk. The public is welcome to attend.
Fair And Bake Sale Is Saturday
AKELEY — The Akeley United Methodist Church craft fair and bake sale will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 541 Akeley Road, Russell. Local craft vendors and home-based businesses will be selling their crafts and goods. Breakfast and lunch items will be available for purchase and the church will be open for tours. PVCS Plans Summer Meetings
PINE VALLEY — The Pine Valley Central School Board will hold the following meetings in the board room of the elementary school: Monday at 6 p.m. for a reorganizational and regular meeting; Tuesday, July 17, at 6 p.m. for a board workshop meeting; Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. for a board workshop meeting; and Thursday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. for a regular meeting. All meetings are open to the public.
