To Meet Thursday

RIPLEY — The Ripley School Board will hold a special meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs library (Room 204) at Ripley Central School. The meeting is for the purpose of appointing a new district superintendent.

Of ’66 To Meet

WARREN — The Warren Area High School Class of 1966 will hold a 70th birthday bash on June 29. The celebration will be at the Conewango Club at the corner of Market Street and Second Avenue in Warren beginning at 5 p.m. Dress will be casual, no T-shirts and jeans. Hor d’oeuvres and birthday cake will be served. There will be a cash bar. There is no charge to classmates and spouses though donations to the class treasury will be accepted. Blood Bank Drive Set For Monday

Community Blood Bank will be holding a blood drive Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Frewsburg Fire Dept. All blood types are urgently needed. No appointment is necessary.

SCS Participates In Food Program

SHERMAN — Sherman Central School will participate in the federal Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children ages 18 and younger without charge from July 17 through Aug. 17. Breakfast will be available from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

SWCS To Hold Class Reunion

The Southwestern Central High School Class of 1968 is holding its 50th reunion festivities July 6, 7 and 8. Friday, July 6, is an after-dinner event at an outdoor pavilion at the Lakewood Rod and Gun at 7 p.m. Saturday is a dinner buffet at Webb’s Captain’s Table in Mayville at 6 p.m. There is a $50/per person charge for this event. On Sunday morning is a brunch at the Yacht Club in Lakewood at 10 a.m. Cost per person for this is $18.50. Laird is planning a golf outing before Friday’s event. Historical Society To Meet Tuesday

The Valley Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 3, at 7 p.m. at the museum in Sinclairville. The program will be “A Patriotic Moment” presented by society treasurer John Sipos. After the meeting refreshments and birthday cake celebrating the birthday of our nation and our treasurer will be served. All persons interested in local history are invited to attend the meeting.

Winderl Family To Hold Reunion

The 2018 Winderl-Ottaway-Blynt family reunion will be held at noon Saturday, July 21, in the Mayville Lakeside Park gazebo. The meal will begin at 1 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own beverages. Table service and meat will be provided.
