Library Board To Meet Wednesday

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Library Board will be meeting Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the library. The public is invited to attend.

Historical Society Gathers Monday

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the society’s rooms at 5 W. Main St., Frewsburg. The public is welcome to attend.

Spirit Art Gallery

To Hold Classes

For the third summer, the Spirit Art Gallery located at 60 N. Main St., Cassadaga, will conduct weekly spirit art classes and gallery mediumship readings on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. for $10 each and Tuesday from 8-10 p.m. evenings for $15 each. The weekly events begin Tuesday and will end Aug. 31. The art classes are taught by Susan Barnes, CSNU and the gallery readings are with Susan and Dennis Morley, both from Cassadaga. Spirit art classes feature a wide range of spirit art styles. Students learn how to do automatic drawing, auragraphs, spirit portraits and encaustic wax paintings. Overdose Class Planned Tuesday

A free opioid overdose response training will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Chautauqua Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council, 501 W. Third St., Suites 3 and 4, Sprinchorn Building. Free parking is available in the parking lot across the street. Registration is required to participate by calling CASAC in Jamestown at 664-3608. Alison Espin will lead the training.

JPS Board To Meet On Monday

The Jamestown Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday at 6 p.m. in the superintendent’s conference room at 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The meeting is to discuss personnel matters.

Supper Group Meets Twice

FREDONIA — The Henry C. Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders at the State University at Fredonia will offer two monthly support group meetings for stroke and head injury survivors and family members during the summer. The meetings will be held on Tuesday and July 17, from 3-4 p.m., in Thompson Hall Room E148. A typical group meeting includes activities to help stroke and head injury survivors use compensatory strategies to improve communication skills and provides educational information, as well as an opportunity to socialize and share experiences. Soil, Water Board Gathers In City

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its directors meeting on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Northcrest Business Park, 220 Fluvanna Ave., suite 600, Jamestown. The meeting is open to the public.

The James Prendergast Library Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at the library. The meeting is open to the public.
