Babysitting Clinic Set For Saturday

The Jamestown YMCA babysitting clinic for boys and girls, ages 11-16, will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jamestown YMCA. The clinic will instruct participants about the responsibilities involved in caring for younger children including child development, safety, emergency response and more. The clinic is taught by experienced instructors who have knowledge in child development, health and overall care of children. Participants should bring a bag lunch. Space is limited. Land Bank To Meet Wednesday

The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation Acquisition and Disposition Committee and monthly board meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. respectively Wednesday in the Main Conference Room, at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, Dunkirk. These meetings of the land bank are conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property and other official business as required. The press, public and other stakeholders are welcome to attend.

Cemetery Group To Meet Thursday

WESTFIELD — Chautauqua County Federation of Rural Cemeteries will hold the group’s 107th annual meeting on Thursday, June 14, in the Westfield United Methodist Church. The meeting is hosted by the Westfield Portland Union Cemetery Association. Registration is from 10 to 10:30 a.m. with the business meeting beginning at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon which costs $11 will be served at noon. The after-lunch speaker is Cristie Herbst, former editor of The Post-Journal and current president of the Chautauqua County Historical Society. She will speaking about Barcelona. Lunch reservations are required and may be made by calling 326-3930. The public and all those associated with or interested in preserving and maintaining our cemeteries are invited at attend.

Vet Dance Party

Set For Friday

The Jamestown Vietnam Veterans of American will host a Retro Dance Park from 8-11 p.m. Friday at their club room, located at 41 Bigelow Ave. People are invited to come in their favorite 70s, 80s or 90s costume to receive an entry for the door prize. There will also be 50/50 drawings, a costume contest and a retro DJ.

Quilt Guild To Meet Friday

The Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild will meet Friday at 6:45 p.m. at the Busti Fire Hall. Guest speaker will be Heidi Pridemore who will present a trunk show and lecture. Guests are welcome for $5. Fentonville United To Screen Film

FREWSBURG — The Fentonville United Methodist Church, 109 Old Fentonville Road, Frewsburg, will host a free family movie night Saturday, June 16, featuring the film “I Can Only Imagine.” Free popcorn and drinks will be provided.
