Boater Safety Course Offered

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office will host a boater safety course on Saturday at the Lawson Center, 73 Lakeside Drive, Bemus Point, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no pre-registration requirement. Students must be at least 10 years old by the date of the course which is free to anyone ages 10 to 17. Anyone 18 and over will have to pay a $10 fee to New York state to receive certification. A lunch will be provided by the Lawson Center. This will be the last class of the season. Visit sheriff.us for more information.

Infinity Showcase Planned June 9

Infinity’s Annual Spring Showcase, sponsored by Shults Auto Group, will be taking place at the Jamestown High School Auditorium on Saturday, June 9, at 7 p.m. The performance will feature a number of solo and duo acts, as well as performances by Infinity’s student ensembles. Pre-sale event tickets are on sale now at the Infinity Center, or online at www.infinityperformingarts.org/shop for $7. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event for $10. All children under 18 will be admitted free of charge. Church Service To Be Moved

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 N. Main St., Jamestown, will not have its normally scheduled 10 a.m. service at the church on Sunday. A Sunday service will be held instead at YMCA Camp Onyahsa, 5411 E. Lake Road, Dewittville, followed by the Annual Parish Picnic. Worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. with full immersion baptism in Chautauqua Lake, followed by a “potluck” picnic lunch, family games and water activities. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share. The regular 5 p.m. Saturday evening service and Sunday morning 8 a.m. will be held as scheduled. All are welcome to attend. Outdoor Club To Meet On Sunday

On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes from Corry, Pa., to Clymer. Participants will meet at Betts Field at 1:30 p.m. For more information call Linda Ross at 814-726-3920.

Putts For Mutts Tourney Saturday

WESTFIELD — The fifth annual Putts For Mutts golf tournament benefiting the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue will be held Saturday at Pinehurst Golf Course, 7428 E. Main Road, Westfield. The cost is $60 a player and includes lunch for the 18-hole, two-person scramble. Procession To Be Held This Sunday

LAKEWOOD — The Sacred Heart Parish will have a Corpus Christi procession on Sunday after the 10 a.m. mass at the church, 381 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood. All are welcome to participate, either at mass or for the procession itself.
