Preschool Open House Thursday

FLUVANNA — The Fluvanna Community Church Preschool is having an open house on Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. Registration forms will be available, and parents can meet teachers and see the classrooms.

Author To Be At Library Thursday

SINCLAIRVILLE — Nathan Hale, an author and illustrator, will be at the Sinclairville Free Library at 4 p.m. Thursday to sign books in his historical graphic novel series, Nathan Hale’s Hazardous Tales. Books will be available for purchase at the library. The library is located at 15 Main St., Sinclairville. Hale will also be at the Cassadaga Branch Library, 18 Maple St., Cassadaga, at 6 p.m. for another book signing.

Orientation To

Be Held At Infinity

Music, art, dance and theater students of all levels are welcome to enroll in private and group lessons. The Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will hold a new student orientation and intake session Thursday. Please contact the Infinity Center at 664-0991 to register for a session and reserve your spot today. Students may also register online at infinityperformingarts.org to be contacted for an orientation slot. Orientation sessions last approximately 30 minutes, including a tour of the Infinity Center and opportunities to meet Infinity staff members and schedule lessons. The Infinity Center is located at 301 E. Second St., Suite 101 in the Lynn Building.

Stroke Info To Be Provided At WCA

May is National Stroke Month and the UPMC Chautauqua WCA stroke and wellness team will provide stroke prevention information and offer a free interactive activity that demonstrates the effects of a stroke today from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main lobby at UPMC Chautauqua WCA, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown. The education is free to the public. Parking is available in the visitor’s parking lot adjacent to the front entrance of the hospital.

Amish Auction Planned Saturday

The 15th annual Amish Relief Auction will be held Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Empire Livestock Market, 6732 Pickup Hill Road, Cherry Creek. Shuttle Buses and handicap parking will be available starting at 7:30 a.m. Amish-made furniture, tables, chairs, quilts and rugs, among other items, will be available. A pancake and sausage breakfast will be held from 6-9:30 a.m. Proceeds will go toward children and other needy families, doctors and hospital bills owed by the Conewango Valley New York community.

Parks Group To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Robert H. Jackson Airport. The public is invited to attend.

Memorial Day Service Planned

ASHVILLE — The town of North Harmony will host a Memorial Day service Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Veteran’s Park, located at the corner of Fardink Road and North Maple Avenue in Ashville. All are welcome to attend. Town offices will be closed from Friday through Monday for the holiday.
