Infinity To Host Saturday Event
Infinity will be hosting their fourth Art Market and Auction on Saturday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Infinity Arts Cafe in Jamestown. This event will be a culmination to Infinity’s Step Up for the Arts Annual Campaign. The art market will feature work for sale from local artists, an art auction of locally-made art and an array of activities. Infinity’s Art Market and Auction features 20 or more artists each year. This year’s Art Auction will feature a chainsaw carving by Vince Liuzzo and a private collection of pottery and ceramic art created by the late Douglas Hay. All proceeds will support music and arts education experiences for young people at the Infinity Center.
JCC Board To Meet Monday
The Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet Monday at 5 p.m. in the board rooms of the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses and the North County Extension Center to interview a candidate for the presidency of the college. The board is expected to move into executive session.
Thrift Store In Need Of Goods
The Community Outreach Center Thrift Store is in need of gently used household goods such as kitchen ware, pots and pans, bowls, bakeware, small appliances and knick knacks. Items must be clean and in good condition. All proceeds from the sale of these items benefit local charities. The thrift store is located on the third floor of the First Lutheran Church, corner of Chandler and Center streets. Store hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations may be dropped off during open hours.
Library To Host Story Hour Days
CHERRY CREEK — The Cherry Creek Library will host a series of story hours from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturdays in March titled “Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss.” For more information, call Sharon Howe, librarian, at 296-5105.
Parish To Hold Wednesday Meal
The Altar and Rosary Society of Holy Apostles Parish will meet at SS. Peter and Paul Church Hall on Wednesday following noon Mass. Those who attend are asked to bring a lunch; refreshments will be served. Dues will be collected at the meeting. New members are always welcome.
Study Club To Meet Wednesday
LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Women’s Antique Study Club will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Lakewood American Legion. Jean White will bring some of her elephant collection that she has been assembling for several years. Refreshments will be provided by Yvonne Lee, Joann Robinson and Nancy J. Schuyler. Mozart Club To Meet Wednesday
The next meeting of the Mozart Club will be on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Marvin House. The program will be “Keyboard Exploration” with Sharon Johnson, associate professor at Houghton College.
