Infinity Hosting Auction, Market

Infinity will be hosting their fourth Art Market and Auction on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Infinity Arts Cafe in Jamestown. This event will be a culmination to Infinity’s Step Up for the Arts Annual Campaign. The art market will feature work for sale from local artists, an art auction of locally-made art and an array of activities. Infinity’s Art Market and Auction features 20 or more artists each year. This year’s Art Auction will feature a chainsaw carving by Vince Liuzzo and a private collection of pottery and ceramic art created by the late Douglas Hay.

Carroll Town Hall To Close Friday

The Carroll Town Hall will be closed at noon on Friday and will reopen for regular business hours Monday, March 12.

FRS Wins Best Radio Station

Fredonia Radio Systems (FRS) at the State University of New York at Fredonia held on to its title as “Best College Station in the Nation” after being recognized at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System’s 78th annual conference in New York City on March 3. For the second year in a row, FRS, a student organization operating under WDVL-CL 89.5 and WCVF 88.9 FM, was awarded the Abraham and Borst Award as the “Best College Station in the Nation.” Additionally, the group took home the award for “Best College Radio Station (At a University under 10,000 Students). General Manager Noah Maciejewski continued his streak for “Best On-Air Personality,” as well as Jaret Belschwinder for “Best Hockey Play by Play.”

Tree, Seedling Orders Accepted

The Cattaraugus County Soil & Water Conservation District is accepting orders for the 2018 Spring Tree and Shrub Bare Root Seedling Sale. Several species of conifers, hardwoods, shrubs and berries are available, as well as assortment packets for reforestation, wildlife and erosion control. Orders are accepted on a first come, first serve basis until March 31. Apple tree packages must be ordered by Thursday, March 15. Seedlings will be distributed in April. Spinal Seminar Planned In City

Chautauqua Physical and Occupational Therapy will host a seminar titled “Your Aging Spine: Focus on Prevention” on Thursday, March 15, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center, 15 S. Main St., Suite 220, in Jamestown. Dr. Michael Geraci Jr. will present material on a variety of options to address spinal health.

Preschool To Host Vendors

WESTFIELD — Apple Seed Christian Preschool will host a fundraiser vendor event on Saturday from 1-6 p.m. at Eason Hall in Westfield. A Chinese auction will also be offered. Clymer School Board To Meet

CLYMER — The Clymer Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the board room. The board will hold a budget work session at 5 p.m. on March 21.
