School Board To Meet Monday
The Bemus Point Central School Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Maple Grove Middle/High School cafeteria, Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. The board is expected to make a motion for an executive session with an open session to follow. The public is welcome to attend.
Registration For School Planned
Registration for students eligible for Kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year will be held on Wednesday, May 23, and Thursday, May 24, at Paul B. D. Temple Elementary. To be eligible for Kindergarten, your child must be 5 years of age on or before Dec. 1. Registration for students eligible for UPK for the 2018-19 school year will be held on Wednesday, June 6, and Thursday, June 7, at Temple Elementary. To be eligible for UPK, your child must be 4 years of age on or before Dec. 1. A birth certificate, documented immunization records, completed registration papers, and proof of residency must be presented at the time of screening. Please call the school at 267-3255 to register.
Chicken BBQ At Lakewood Legion
Lakewood Sons of Legion Post 1286 will be hosting a chicken barbecue Saturday from 4-7 p.m. Eat in or take out. The band The Freeze will be performing from 6-10 p.m. All members and guests are welcome to attend.
Safe Driving Classes In March
The South Stockton Wayside Chapel, 5537 Route 380 in Sinclairville, has added an AARP Safe Driver class on March 26 and 27. Class times are 8:45 a.m. until noon on Monday and 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesday. The class is open any age licensed driver. Class fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for nonmembers payable by check made out to AARP brought on the first day of class. It helps if the check is already made out when coming to class. Participants should bring a pen, driver’s license, and AARP card to class. Registration phone number is 224-3280.
Outdoor Club To Hold Cookout
On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hold its annual winter cookout. The cookout will be at the Audubon Community Nature Center near Jamestown. Participants will meet at the kiosk in front of the main building at 2 p.m. for a hike or ski of 4.5 miles on the Audubon trails followed by a dish-to-pass cookout in and behind the main building beginning at 5 p.m. Those attending should bring a dish to pass and their own table service. March Event Is This Saturday
RANDOLPH — This year’s “March into Randolph” event will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is hosted by the Randolph Area Community Development Corporation (RACDC), a non-profit organization. On the first Saturday in March, visitors will start at the Randolph Library where they will pick up a “passport” with a list of participating businesses.
