Dog Licenses Online In Ellicott

The town of Ellicott is now able to process dog license renewals online through the town website, To find out if you are eligible for a multi-year license, which is currently not available online, contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 665-5317 ext.200. If you are licensing your dog for the first time in the town of Ellicott, you will need to come to the Town Clerk’s office and present a valid rabies certificate as well as a spay or neuter certificate if applicable. JCC, Oneonta Form Agreement

Jamestown Community College and the State University at Oneonta have developed an articulation agreement for JCC graduates transferring into SUNY Oneonta’s sport management degree program. The agreement guarantees junior standing to JCC students who graduate with an associate’s degree in sport management and who meet academic requirements. JCC graduates are able to complete the bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oneonta in four semesters if they meet acceptance criteria. JCC graduates can transfer a maximum of 75 transfer credit hours toward completion of the bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oneonta. An overview of the agreement is available at

North Harmony Seniors To Meet

More than 40 people were in attendance of the North Harmony Senior Citizens meeting that took place on Jan. 15. Debbie Basile, from the Lutheran Campus, where RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), Senior Services and the Foster Grandparent Program are located, spoke to the dinner participants about the Foster Grandparent Program. She told the group that the program services children in nursery, preschool and school ages. It permits seniors to volunteer fifteen hours per week in an educational setting where they assist the children in academics, permitting the children to make efforts to control behavior and emotions and learn how to organize themselves in their busy day. The group will meet next on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Stow Center.

Prospect Elem. Accepting Apps

Prospect Elementary School in Salamanca is accepting applications for the 2018-19 Kindergarten school year. The program is open to all district residents’ children who will be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1. The full day Kindergarten runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. with breakfast and lunch provided. Contact the Prospect Office or stop in to pick-up an application before July 1. The school is also accepting applications for the Universal Pre-K Program for children who will be 4 years old on or before Dec. 1. Poland Seniors To Meet Wed.

The Town of Poland Seniors will meet at noon on Wednesday at the Kennedy Fire Hall for a pot luck luncheon. Bring a dish to pass and an item for the auction. Guests are always welcome. Carolyn Widmark will provide the decorations. The January meeting was attended by 25. Mike Walker was welcomed as a guest. Terry LIncoln was recognized for his January birthday. Fred and Nancy Shelters celebrate a January anniversary.
