JPS Board To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown School Board will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Bush Elementary School at 150 Pardee Ave. in Jamestown. The meeting is open to the public.
Mayville Polar Plunge Feb. 17
Family Health Medical Services will host its fourth annual Polar Plunge on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Lakeside Park in Mayville. Check-in starts at 12:30 p.m. with plunges starting at 2 p.m. Over the last four years, the polar plunge has raised $14,828 for the Food Bank of Western New York to support their member agencies in Chautauqua County in the “Fight Against Hunger.” This year’s event is sponsored by Chautauqua Physical and Occupational Therapy, Independent Health, Smith Boys of Chautauqua, DFT Communications, ServePro of Jamestown/Olean, The Jock Shop, WNY Urology Associates, Akl Medical PC, Chautauqua Liquor and Wine, Crosby’s and Lighthouse Point Grocery.
Panama Board Gathers Monday
The Panama Central School Board will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. in the board room. The meeting is open to the public.
Seniors To Meet In Sinclariville
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Senior Citizens will meet Tuesday at noon in the Sinclairville Fire Hall dining room for their monthly luncheon and Valentine program. A roast beef and potatoes will be provided. All those attending are asked to bring a dish of food or dessert to add to the meal and their own table service. Table decorations will be provided. New members are welcome.
Clymer School Board To Meet
CLYMER — The Clymer Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.
Support Group Gathers Tuesday
The Alzheimer’s Association monthly Caregiver Support Group will meet Tuesday from 1-2:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room at the JAMA Building, 15 S. Main St., Jamestown. An evening monthly caregiver support group will meet on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Fluvanna Community Church on Fluvanna Avenue Extension. The groups are for anyone 18 years or older who is caring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related diagnoses. For more information call 800-272-3900.
CASAC Training Offered Tuesday
The Chautuaqua Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council will host a free opioid overdose response training at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the CASAC offices, 501 W. Third St., Suites 3 and 4, Sprinchorn Building in Jamestown. Registration is required by callin 664-3608. Alison Espin of the Chautauqua County Health Department will lead the training.
Public Hearing Planned Tuesday
The Bemus Point Central School board will meet Monday in the Maple Grove Middle-High School cafeteria. A public hearing will be held at 5:15 p.m. to discuss the change to the Aged Income Tax Exemption Limit. The public is welcome to attend.
