Marco Polo Club To Host Dinner

The Marco Polo Club, Jamestown, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children.

Thrift Store In Need Of Goods

The Community Outreach Center Thrift Store in Jamestown is in need of gently used household goods such as kitchen ware, small appliances and knick knacks. Items must be clean and in good condition. All proceeds from the sale of these items benefit local charities. The thrift store is located on the third floor of the First Lutheran Church, corner of Chandler and Center Streets. Store hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations may be dropped off during these hours.

Wags And Wine Event Is Feb. 17

La Familia Restaurant and the Chautauqua County Humane Society are teaming up for “Wags and Wine: Fur the Love of Pets” local wine and food pairing, Saturday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. This local wine and food pairing will feature a prepared four-course tasting menu by Chef Burke Lindquist and local wines from Mazza and Liberty wineries. The cost to attend is $90 per couple or $50 per person. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the animals that rely on the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Host Bake Sale

SUGAR GROVE — The Sugar Grove AMVETS Post 50 Auxiliary will host a bake sale at noon Saturday. Donations are being accepted and can be drop off Friday or Saturday. Proceeds will benefit veteran programs.

Scandinavians To Hold Meeting

The American Scandinavian Heritage Foundation will hold its 2018 annual meeting and election of officers Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 825 Forest Ave., Jamestown. All members are encouraged to attend and potential new members are welcome. The annual meeting will include light refreshments, the organization’s proposed 2018 budget, schedule of upcoming activities and open discussion of items brought forth by members. French Creek Releases Dates

The town of French Creek has announced the dates of its meetings for the year. The town board will meet on Monday; March 13; April 9; May 14; June 11; July 9; Aug. 13; Sept. 10; Oct. 1; Nov. 12; Dec. 10; Jan. 14, 2019.

Driving Course Begins Monday

FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School on Monday from 5-10 p.m. The cost is $25. Pre-register by calling the guidance office at 569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, students should be sure to have their permit on hand.
