To Meet Tuesday
The Busti Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the fire hall. New members are welcome. The group will be discussing the Daytona 500 party, ordering supplies and discussing ways to increase membership at Tuesday’s meeting.
Planning Board to Meet Thursday
The Southern Tier West Regional Planning and Development Board will meet on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Center For Regional Excellence, located at 4039 Route 219, Suite 200, in Salamanca. Lunch will be served at noon.
Library Board To Meet Thursday
Prendergast Library will hold its monthly board meeting on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
Quilters Guild To Meet Thursday
WESTFIELD — The Westfield Quilters’ Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the YWCA in Westfield for a work night of making comfort quilts. Those attending should bring their own sewing supplies.
Firefighter Assn. To Meet Sunday
The South Western Association of Volunteer Firemen has announced their next quarterly business meeting. It will be hosted by the Kinney Hose Company in the town of Westons Mills in Allegany County on Sunday. The executive meeting will begin at noon and the general membership meeting to start at 1 p.m. The association is comprised of volunteer firefighters and EMS providers of fire departments and rescue squads in the four counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Erie counties.
Cancer Services Head To Speak
Tammy Kuznicki, of the Chautauqua County Cancer Service Program, will explain services available, at no cost, at 9 a.m., Jan. 22 when the Twice Fed Food Pantry meets in the Cherry Creek Leon United Methodist Church, 6813 Main St., Cherry Creek. Driving Course Set For Jan. 22
FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School Jan. 22 from 5-10 p.m. The cost is $25. Pre-register by calling the guidance office at 569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, students should have their permit on hand.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension board will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 in the Frank W. Bratt Agricultural Center, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
Dementia Class Set For Jan. 23
“The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease” is a free class presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Western New York Chapter for anyone who would like to know more about the disease and related dementia. The program will be offered at the James Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St., Jamestown, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23. Attendees will learn symptoms and effects of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia; how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, causes and risk factors, the benefits of early detection, treatment and community resources.
