CAP Bake Sale Set For Today

The Child Advocacy Program will host a bake sale today from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in front of their building at 405 W. Third St. during Jamestown’s annual Christmas Parade and Holiday Celebration. This is the first time the organization will host the sale outside their building. CAP will have Tim Hortons coffee and hot chocolate for sale, and Full Moon Rising Bakery cookies, both of which were donated. All proceeds will go to CAP.

Libraries To Host Flu Vaccine Clinic

ELLINGTON — A certified immunization clinician from Rite Aid Pharmacy will be at the Ellington Farman Library on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to administer flu vaccines to those age 18 and over. Many insurances cover the vaccine. Those attending should bring their current insurance card. Registration is requested by Monday by calling the Ellington Farman Library at 287-2945.

Flu Shot Clinic Set For Dec. 5

BUSTI — In partnership with Rite Aid Pharmacy the Hazeltine Public Library will host a flu shot clinic on Tuesday from noon-2 p.m. Representatives from the local pharmacy will be on hand to administer the flu shot. The clinic is open to all ages, those planning on attending are asked to call the library at 487-1281 to reserve a spot. Often insurance coverage is available for the shots so participants are advised to bring insurance cards with them. The Hazeltine Public Library is located at 891 Busti Sugar Grove Road.

Norden Lunch

Set For Dec. 9

The Norden Women’s Club Member-Guest lunch will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 beginning with a social at noon, followed by the lunch at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $22 per person. ANG Members Recognized

Major General Anthony P. German, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announced the recent promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Richard Johnston from Westfield and assigned to the Company A, 642nd Support Battalion received a promotion to the rank of private. Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability and development potential. These promotions additionally recognize the best qualified Soldiers and attract and retain the highest caliber Citizen Soldiers for a career in the New York Army National Guard.

Sewer Districts To Meet Tuesday

The South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Tuesday in the Water Pollution Control Facility, Celoron. The public is welcome to attend.

Harmony To Hold Holiday Event

BLOCKVILLE — The Harmony Historical Society will be “Sharing the Holiday” on Tuesday. The society’s holiday celebration begins at 6 p.m. and will be a night of sharing: childhood memories, favorite recipes, favorite gifts, holiday songs and favorite memories of Christmas past. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and your own table service. The public is invited to attend. This will be the last meeting of the society until next April.
