Church Programs To Be Collected

The Post-Journal is accepting Christmas programs submissions from area churches. Submissions should be emailed to or faxed to 664-5305 by Dec. 12.

Falconer Tree Dedication Today

Falconer — The seventh annual dedication of the Memory Tree will be held today at the Falconer Community Building. Memory Tags for the tree have been available at Falconer Library, Falconer Vac Shop, Waddington’s Tavern and Falconer Village Office for $2 to remember someone or to honor a special person or event. The tags will be on display on the tree for the month of December. The public is invited to attend the dedication today at 6:30 p.m.

Combined Choirs Perform Sunday

The combined choirs of the Magnolia, North Harmony and Open Meadows United Methodist Churches will present the Christmas Cantata “That Little Town of Bethlehem” at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the Open Meadows Church, 3183 Open Meadows road. Soloists are Pastor Joe Osborne and Patty Zdunski. A tureen dinner will follow the performance. Persons attending should take a dish to pass. All are welcome to attend.

Commission To Meet Today

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its monthly meeting today at 4 p.m. at the Robert H Jackson Airport. The public is invited to attend.

‘Prince Of Peace’ To Be Performed

The Wheeler Hill United Methodist Church, Wheeler Hill Road, Frewsburg, will present the Christmas program “Prince of Peace” during the worship service at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Refreshments will follow. All are welcome to attend.

Club To Host Spaghetti Dinner

The Marco Polo Club will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. The public is welcome to attend.

Skating Club Event At Arena

The Jamestown Skating Club will present an “On Ice Celebration of Christmas” on Friday at 6:15 p.m. at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown. The hour-long, family-friendly event is free and open to the public and will feature a variety of skaters from beginners to United States Figure Skating double gold medalists as well as a former Disney on Ice star. More than 25 skaters, ages 6 to 23, will perform solos, duets and large group numbers to Christmas songs. For more information, email or call the Northwest Arena at 484-2624.

Safety Check On Friday In Ashville

Library Board Meets Dec. 14
