Auxiliary Board Meets Thursday
The Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and the annual Auxiliary Christmas dinner will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11. Reservations are required to attend. Greeters will be Louise Long and Carole Johnson. Helpers are Donna Haenggi and Carolyn Boehler. Entertainment will be provided. Members attending should bring a new, unwrapped toy donation for Toys for Tots. New officers will be installed. They are Jan Devoe, president; Wanda McKotch, vice president; Sally Gregory, secretary and Connie Whitman, treasurer. Trustees and chairwomen will be announced.
Holiday Activities At Public Library
The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to visit the library this holiday season and admire the Christmas tree constructed with books and enjoy the following activities: Christmas Card Craft Class on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m. This class is for ages 12 and up and will be led by library volunteer Sue Allenbrand. Five-Hour Course Planned Dec. 18
A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School on Monday, Dec. 18, from 5-10 p.m. The cost is $25. Preregister by calling the guidance office at 569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, please make sure you have your permit on hand.
‘Christmas In The Village’ Saturday
The Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood, is participating in Lakewood’s Christmas in the Village and will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Make-and-take crafts will be available for children and special guest story readers will be on hand on the hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Readers include Dave Card, Yoli, Mayor Birriteri, Campbell Dawson, Andy Goodell and Maureen Donahue. The Lakewood Suzuki Strings, with Sue Tillotson, will present a musical program at 2:30 p.m. Vendors will sell hand-made Christmas gifts and books will also be on sale.
Choirs To Play At Church Sunday
The combined choirs of the Magnolia, North Harmony and Open Meadows United Methodist Churches will present the Christmas Cantata “That Little Town of Bethlehem” at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the Open Meadows Church, 3183 Open Meadows road. Soloists are Pastor Joe Osborne and Patty Zdunski. A tureen dinner will follow the performance. Persons attending should take a dish to pass. All are welcome to attend.
Falconer Seniors Dinner On Friday
The Falconer Seniors will meet at 5 p.m. Friday for the group’s Christmas dinner at the Landmark Restaurant.
