Library Board To Meet Wednesday

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Library board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bemus Point Library. The public is welcome to attend.

Thrift Shop Accepts Donations

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, has all ladies’ slacks or jeans for $2 each ($3 and higher) and all cotton turtlenecks are available for $1. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday or 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to noon today or during regular business hours. Those with large donations are asked to call ahead. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP. Proceeds are used locally.

Music Boosters To Hold Dinner

The Jamestown High School Music Boosters will hold a pasta dinner and free music concert on Wednesday. The pasta dinner is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Jamestown High School cafeteria and the concert is 7 p.m. in the Merton P. Corwin Auditorium. Each pasta dinner is $8 and includes: penne pasta, homemade sauce and meatballs, salad and bread. Dine in or take out is available, including curbside service at the Institute Street corner. All proceeds to benefit the JHS music department. The free music concert, at 7 p.m. will feature all of the ensembles at JHS including: the A Cappella Choir, Mixed Chorus, Symphonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Full Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Concert Band.

Town Of Poland

Seniors To Meet

The Town of Poland Seniors will meet Wednesday at noon at the Kennedy Fire Hall for a turkey dinner catered by 3C’s. The hosting committee will be Karen and Terry Lincoln and Walt and Julie Heilman. A representative from Wegman’s Pharmacy will be there to take blood pressures and present information on insurance as it relates to pharmaceuticals. Sharyn Giordana and Norma Walker were recently welcomed as new members. Reservations will be taken for the ham dinner on Dec 20 catered by 3C’s. The cost is $11 for member and $13 for non-members. Contact Sally Patchen as 487-9758 to make a reservation.

Orientation Set For Thursday

Music, art, dance and theater students of all levels are welcome to enroll in private and group lessons. The Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will hold a new student orientation and intake session on Thursday. Please contact the Infinity Center at 664-0991 to register for a session and reserve your spot. Students may also register online at www.infinityperformingarts.org to be contacted for an orientation slot. Orientation sessions last approximately 30 minutes, including a tour of the Infinity Center and opportunities to meet Infinity staff members and schedule lessons. The Infinity Center is located at 301 E. Second St., Suite 101 in the Lynn Building.

Library Board To Meet Thursday

The Prendergast Library will hold its monthly board meeting on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
