SW School Board Meets Tuesday

The Southwestern Central School Board will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the board of education room at the middle school. The public is welcome to attend.

Empire College To Hold Meeting

Jamestown BOE To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Board of Education will meet Tuesday for a regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Fletcher Elementary School, located at 201 Cole Ave. The public is welcome to attend.

Randolph BOE To Meet Tuesday

The Randolph Central School board will hold a special meeting on Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. in the district office to accept/approve the tax collector’s report in addition to other agenda items. The public is welcome to attend the meeting.

CPT Seminar

Set For Tuesday

Medical Event Set For Tuesday

Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. Alzheimer’s Services will host a presentation from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Falconer Public Library 101 W. Main St., Falconer, on caregiver stress. A Lunch and Learn on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Connections North, 10825 Bennett Road, Dunkirk, on “How Do You Know When Its Time For More Care?” Representatives will be on hand to answer questions. A light lunch will be served. Both events are sponsored in part by the state Department of Health.

Documentary To Play Wednesday

The documentary “Merchants of Doubt” will be shown Wednesday in Jamestown Community College’s Carnahan Theatre. The film begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Released in 2014, Merchants of Doubt examines how some members of the scientific community with extensive political connections purportedly ran campaigns to mislead the public and deny well-established scientific knowledge over four decades. The screening is part of the “Our Planet, Our Choice” series sponsored by JCC’s sustainability committee and Earth Awareness Club.

Soil Board To Meet Wednesday

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the district offices in the Northcrest Business Park, 220 Fluvanna Ave., Suite 600, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
