Shopping Kickoff, Bino On Sunday

Community Helping Hands will host a Holiday Shopping Kick Off and Vendor Bingo event starting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Gateway Center, 31 Water St., Jamestown. Vendors include Style Dots Customizable Jewelry, LulaRoe, Usborne Books, Jamberry Nails, Perfectly Posh, Paparazzi, Tupperware, DotDotSmile and Ornaments by Maryanna. Bingo begins at 3 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes the first five bingo cards. Extra cards can be earned by visiting and shopping with vendors as well as bringing friends. Refreshments will be available. All proceeds from admission, refreshments and vendor booth rentals benefit Community Helping Hands.

Thanksgiving Worship Sunday

CHAUTAUQUA — On Sunday at 7 p.m., the Mayville Ministerium will host a community-wide Thanksgiving worship service at Hurlbut United Methodist Church, North Pratt and Scott avenues, Chautauqua Institution. The public is welcome to attend.

Cemetery Group To Speak Sunday

The Fluvanna Historical Society is hosting the Fluvanna Cemetery Association on Sunday at 6 p.m. The Associations members will present the history of Fluvanna Cemetery and tell about some of the ancestors buried there and other stories. They will have old records and books with them as well. The program is to be held at the Fluvanna Community Church. Programs are open to the public.

Outdoor Club To Hike Nature Trail

On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike five miles on the trails at the Audubon Community Nature Center. Participants will meet at the kiosk in front of the Nature Center at 2 p.m. For more information call John Young at 814-730-2915.

Turkey Trot Is Planned Today

A Turkey Trot will take place today at Harley-Davidson of Jamestown, located at 1951 E. Main St. in Falconer. Registration will open at 8 a.m. and the 5K race will begin at 9 a.m. The race is free but donations will be accepted. Proceeds from the race will given those in need, organizers said.

Celebration In Panama Is Today

PANAMA –The Panama Home Town Christmas celebration will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Santa Claus arrives at The Panama Diner at 10 a.m. by fire truck. There will be Christmas shopping and a visit with Santa Cluas at the diner in addition to basket giveaways and a pie sale.
