Ellery Turkey Party Is Saturday
ELLERY — The Ellery Center Fire Company will host a turkey party starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at the fire hall, 4400 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Drawings will be held for 12- to 14-pound turkeys, money rounds, second-chance drawings and a basket giveaway. Refreshments will be available.

Golden Agers To Meet On Nov. 21
LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 for the harvest dinner prepared by Lakewood American Legion Post 1286. The cost is $6, required in advance. Members are asked to bring non-perishable food items that will be distributed to the needy.
Mayville Library To Begin Sale
MAYVILLE — The Mayville Public Library will hold a book sale from Nov. 18-25 during library hours. Items available for purchase include: books for adults and children, DVDs, puzzles and magazines. For more information, call the library at 753-7362.
Church To Hold Spaghetti Dinner
The Pilgrim Memorial and First Congregational United Church of Christ, 70 McKinley Ave., corner of Forest and McKinley avenues, will hold its annual spaghetti dinner and bake sale from 4:30-7 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $7 for adults, children age 5 and under are free. Use the Forest Avenue entrance. There will also be a Christmas basket raffle. The winner will be announced Dec. 3. Proceeds go will benefit Church Out Reach Programs.
Trafficking Event Set For Saturday
As part of its ongoing mission to serve the public, the Kennedy Free Library will hold a workshop about human trafficking awareness on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Jessica McKeever, Chautauqua County Safe Harbour Coordinator and Community Educator from the YWCA of Jamestown, will be present to address many different aspects of this issue. Teens and adults alike can learn more about how this global emergency is reaching the lives of people in the Southern Tier, ways to recognize the problem, and what to do to help make yourself or someone else safer. Refreshments will be provided at noon for those attending the workshop. For more information about this important event, interested people may contact the Kennedy Free Library at 267-4265.
Hartfield Party Changes Venue
Due to severe flood damage in the fire hall, the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Company’s annual turkey party scheduled for Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. will now be held at the Carlson Community Center at Lakeside Park in Mayville.
