City Seniors To Meet For Coffee

Jamestown Area Senior Center members will meet Nov. 28 for coffee and cookies. Tina Scott, of the Prendergast Library, will be the guest speaker. The annual Christmas dinner, catered by Classic Occasions, is at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church dining room. The cost is $10 per person. Reservations and payment must be made by Nov. 25. Mayville Seniors will be going to the Erie Station Theater on Dec. 10. Anyone interested should contact the office. Members met on Oct. 25 for a tureen lunch. Shirley Vandenburg called the meeting to order with a flag salute and song. Celebrating birthdays were Jan McKotch, Joanne Puder, Ron Wilcox and Sharon Garrison. Prize winners were dick Hoglund, Carm Bellitto, Jan McKotch and Arvella McKotch. The meeting adjourned at 2 p.m.

Support Group Gathers Tuesday

The Alzheimer’s Association monthly Caregiver Support Group will meet on Tuesday from 1-2:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room at the JAMA Building, 15 S. Main St. in Jamestown. An evening monthly caregiver support group will meet on Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Fluvanna Community Church on Fluvanna Avenue Extension. The groups are for anyone 18 years or older who is caring for a person with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia related diagnoses. Rotary To Host Breakfast Today

The Falconer Rotary Club will host a pancake breakfast today at the Falcon’s Next from 8-11 a.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Those who attend are asked to bring returnable cans and bottles to fund community projects.

Free Buffet For Veterans Offered

A free lunch buffet will be offered to veterans at Honest Johns, located at 1245 E. Second St., in Jamestown. The free buffet will available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Legion Post To Host Ceremony

The village of Celoron, in cooperation with Herman Kent Post 777 of the American Legion, will again be honoring its Veterans with a ceremony to be held at 11 a.m. today at the Veterans’ Memorial in Lucille Ball Memorial Park. The featured speaker will be David Holmstrom, Village resident and US Navy Veteran. The Village of Celoron extends an invitation to all to attend.

Dinner To Be Offered Nov. 18

The Pilgrim Memorial and First Congregational United Church of Christ, corner of McKinley and Forest Avenues, Jamestown, will hold a Spaghetti Dinner and Bake Sale from 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Tickets are $7 each. Children, ages 5 and under, are free. Take-outs are available. Use the Forest Avenue entrance.

School Board To Gather Monday

The Bemus Point school bard will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday at 6 p.m. The meeting will be located in the cafeteria of the Maple Grove Middle-High School on Dutch Hollow Road. The public is welcome to attend.
