Ned Ward To Speak At Library

BEMUS POINT — Fletcher “Ned” Ward, a Bemus Point resident and author, will discuss the history of the Chris-Craft plant in Falconer at the next Bemus Point Library Study Club meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Bemus Point. The study club will also accept donations for the “Ms. Santa” project, which assists needy Bemus Point Central School District families. The club’s annual dues are $10. The public is welcome to attend.

Harvest Dinner Set For Saturday

The Open Meadows United Methodist Church, 3183 Open Meadows Road, will host a Harvest Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Persons attending should take a dish to pass. Meat, beverage and table service will be provided. All are welcome to attend.

KDP Announces Endorsements

The Kiantone Democractic Party has endorsed the following candidates for the upcoming Nov. 7 election: Lori Thierfeldt, town justice; and Robert G. Carlson, highway superintendent.

Westfield To Flush Hydrants

The Village of Westfield Water Department will flush hydrants at various times between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Nov. 6 through Dec. 1. Flushing will begin in the south and end in the north. Water may be slightly discolored during this time and should be taken in regard while washing clothes. The water at no time will be unsafe to drink. Any questions please call 326-2832.

Libraries To Hold Election Dinners

The Friends of the Kennedy Free Library will once again hold an Election Day Dinner Tuesday to benefit the library. A ham dinner with all the trimmings will be available, with beverage and dessert included. The dinner will be held from 4:30-7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Kennedy United Methodist Church. Take-outs will also be available. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children under 12. There is no charge for people 90 and over, or 3 and under. The Ellington Farman Library will also host its annual Election Night dinner on Tuesday from 4:30-7 p.m. Lasagna at the Library will include homemade lasagna, salad, Italian bread and home-baked pie and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children under 12 and free for children under age 5. Meals can be eaten at the library or taken out. Proceeds will go directly to benefit the library. Located at 760 Thornton Road in Ellington, the Ellington Farman Library is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is handicapped accessible.

Ham Dinner Set For Tuesday

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Memorial Hospital Regional Auxiliary will host an Election Night harvest ham dinner from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Westfield. In addition to ham, the menu includes macaroni and cheese, herbed green beans, cranberry salad, rolls, assorted homemade pies and a beverage. The cost for the dinner is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 6. All proceeds will benefit new and ongoing projects at Westfield Memorial Hospital. The Westfield Presbyterian Church has handicapped access.
