Reed To Hold Remote Hours
Congressman Tom Reed’s staff will hold remote office hours in Dunkirk on Wednesday from 3-4 p.m. The meeting will be in the Mayor’s Conference Room of City Hall located at 342 Central Ave. in Dunkirk. Author To Discuss Latest Book
ASHVILLE — Local author, J. Andersen, will be on hand at the Ashville Free Library to discuss her latest book, The Gene Rift, Book 2 in the Destiny by Design series. Mrs. Anderson will be at the library Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. The library is located at 2200 N. Maple St., Ashville.
Infinity Welcomes New Students
The Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will hold a new student orientation and intake session on Thursday. Call the Infinity Center at 664-0991 to register for a session and reserve a spot. Students may also register online at www.infinityperformingarts.org to be contacted for an orientation slot. Orientation sessions last 30 minutes, including a tour of the Infinity Center and opportunities to meet Infinity staff members and schedule lessons. The Infinity Center is located at 301 E. Second St., Suite 101, Jamestown, in the Lynn Building.
Falconer Group To Meet Thursday

Fredonia To Host Jazz Celebration
FREDONIA — The 100th anniversary of the births of five jazz icons will be commemorated at a guest artist recital, featuring pianist Tony Caramia, Class of 1973, with School of Music faculty Kieran Hanlon on bass and Alec Dube on drums, on Thursday at 8 p.m., at the State University at Fredonia. Caramia is a piano professor at the Eastman School of Music. The Rosch Recital Hall will host the concert, which celebrates the music and legacies left by Thelonious Monk (born Oct. 10), Tadd Dameron (Feb. 21), Johnny Guarnieri (March 23), Dizzy Gillespie (Oct. 21) and Buddy Rich (Sept. 30) – all born in 1917. The concert is free and open to the public.

Quilters Guild To Meet Thursday
WESTFIELD — The Westfield Quilters’ Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to hear Susan Guenther discuss her Round Robin quilts. The program is entitled “The Very Long Distance Wandering Quilts.” Meetings are held in the Westfield YWCA and guests are welcome.
