Code Of Conduct Hearing Monday

A public hearing on the code of conduct plan will be held at 5:45 p.m. in the cafeteria at Maple Grove Junior-Senior High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point, on Monday preceding the monthly board meeting. The public is welcome to attend.

Homeless Benefit Set For Saturday

A Harley for Homeless benefit will be held on Saturday at the Harley Davidson dearlership in Falconer. The event will benefit the UCAN ministries of Jamestown, a new homeless shelter for men. A blessing will be held at 9 a.m. For $20, attendees can ride around the Kinzua Dam. At noon, there will be food and music at the dealership, sponsored by RJ the DJ.

Red Tail Hawk Talk Is Today

MAPLE SPRINGS — Long Point State Park will host a Red Tail Hawk Talk at 10 a.m. today led by Heidi Tschopp, Allegany State Park naturalist. Those attending should meet at the Overlook Gazebo. For more information, call 386-3165, ext. 208.

Christian Group Meets Thursdays

Cassadaga Lake Paddling Monday

Anyone wishing to paddle Cassadaga Lake can do so Monday while enjoying a beautiful sunset and wildlife. Come by kayak, canoe or paddle board. Meet at 6:30 at the DEC launch on Dale Drive. If you need to rent, call Evergreen Outfitters in advance at 763-2266. This event is sponsored by the Citizens for a Better Cassadaga. They meet the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library. New members are always welcome.

Wildflower Walk Set For Saturday

MAPLE SPRINGS — Long Point State Park will host Wildflowers and other Wonders at 10 a.m. Saturday. Becky Nystrom from Jamestown Community College will lead a walk to explore the wildflowers that can be found along Long Point’s trails. Those attending should meet at the Overlook Gazebo. JCC Trustees

To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the JCC North County Training Center, Dunkirk, with videoconferencing to the boardrooms on the Cattaraugus County Campus and Jamestown campus. The public is welcome to attend.

Ripley Fire Alarm Session Aug. 17

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School board will hold a Fire Alarm System Replacement Project 2017 informational session during the regular board meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, in the research library of Ripley Central School. The board will continue the regular monthly meeting immediately following the informational session for the purposes of any and all items that come before the board. The public is welcome to attend.
