Legion Hosting Vendor Fair
American Legion Post 1286, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood, will host a vendor fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today to benefit Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care. Representatives from a variety of local businesses will be on hand offering crafts, products and homemade goods. There will be no admission fee. ‘I Love My Park Day’ Is Today
The Friends of Allegany State Park will host “I Love My Park Day” today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees will be meet at the Red House Picnic Shelter, with registration starting at 9 am. A Sahlen’s hot dog lunch will be served afterwards for a nominal fee. Please bring garden gloves, safety vests, branch trimmers, rakes and trash grabbers. “I Love My Park Day” is a statewide event to celebrate and enhance New York’s state parks, historic sites and public lands and bring visibility to the entire state park system and its needs. Volunteers from across the state will participate in cleanup, improvement and beautification events at New York State parks and historic sites.

GERRY — The Gerry Free Methodist Church is holding a “Wings Night,” today from 5-7 p.m. at the Rodeo Conference Center with all proceeds going to the Gerry Volunteer fire Department. The menu offers six varieties of chicken wings, French fries, drinks and baked goods. Takeouts are available.
Reed Town Hall Meetings Today
U.S. Rep. Tom Reed will hold three town hall meetings today in his district. The first will take place at the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department Station 1, 4741 Willow Road, Dunkirk, from 9-10 a.m. Reed will then be at the Busti Fire Department, 886 Mill Road, Busti, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. He will finish at the Hinsdale Fire Department, 3832 Church St., Hinsdale, from 2-3 p.m.
Pre-Licensing Course Monday
FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School on from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. The cost is $25. Pre-register by calling the guidance office at 569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, drivers should be sure to have their permit on hand.
Lutgen To Be At Church Service
Elizabeth Lutgen, winner of the 2017 Chautauqua’s Got Talent competition, will be at New Covenant Church on Sunday for the church’s 10:30 a.m. service. Lutgen is a self-taught violinist of 2 1/2 years. She will perform some Christian music as well as minuets. New Covenant Assembly Church is located at 17 Arlington Ave., Jamestown.
Annual Church Meeting Monday
The Levant Cemetery Association annual meeting will be on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Levant Wesleyan Church, Room 204. all lot owners and anyone interested in the maintenance of the cemetery is welcome and encouraged to attend.
