Choir To Perform Memorial Service

The Holy Apostles Parish Choir, brass, percussion and organist will perform patriotic music anthems, including “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and hymns dedicated to the nation’s religious freedoms and reflect the special nature of this weekend’s observance of Memorial Day weekend. The Sunday morning service and music is at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Saints Peter & Paul Church building, Cherry Street, Jamestown.

Outdoor Club To Stage Float

On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will stage a Memorial Day weekend float on the Allegheny Reservoir. Participants will launch at Webb’s Ferry at 1:30 p.m. After the float the group will meet at the Red Oaks Campground at Debra Young’s campsite for a cookout. Hot dogs and buns will be provided. Bemus Point Golf Outing Is June 4

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Study Group is hosting a golf outing Sunday June 4. The outing is a four-person scrmable. Tee time is 11 a.m. The cost is $65 a person. There wil be a shotgun start and lunch and dinner served in addition to awards, prizes and a cash bar. All proceeds benefit the Bemus Point Library. Cruise-In Takes Place Saturday

FALCONER — The Der Kobblers Automobile Association will hold its 10th annual Memorial Day Cruise-In on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Davis Park on West Main Street in Falconer.

Garage Sale Setup Saturday

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will be open Saturday from 2-4 p.m. Members will meet to prepare and set the garage sale of June 10. Donations of items to sell may dropped off during these hours. The community is invited to visit and view the new exhibits concerning the early history of agriculture in the town and meet with members. The society’s rooms are located in the building behind the Carroll Town Hall.

Small Town Pets Opens Business

Small Town Pets, 176 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, has opened its doors for business. The new pet store is expected to host a grand opening in July. For more information, call 526-1115.

Flags Ceremony At City Cemetery

The United Veterans Council of Jamestown is seeking community participation in placing flags upon veterans graves at Lakeview cemetery in Jamestown. A short ceremony will take place at 6 p.m., today. Flag bundles will be distributed along with maps for placement upon the 3,515 graves in Lakeview Cemetery. The Council is looking for volunteers to help complete flag placement today, but flags will be available for placement through Sunday evening so that all flags can be placed. CRCF Annual Meeting June 21

On Wednesday, June 21, the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation will hold its annual meeting at the James Prendergast Library in the Community Room, 509 Cherry Street Jamestown, at 1 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
