Workshop For Vets Today

The Chautauqua County Veterans Coalition has scheduled two veterans benefits workshops in April to connect Veterans with the benefits and services they deserve. Sessions are free for all veterans, active duty or reserve service members, and their families. The first workshop will be today at the JCC North County Center Training Facility in Dunkirk. The second workshop will be April 29 at Jamestown Community College’s Hamilton Collegiate Center (Student Union) in Jamestown. Both events are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A wide range of service providers and local organizations will be there, some of them include local VFW post and the American Legion, VA representatives, schools, employers, and local attorneys providing free legal consultations. To register, call the Veterans Service Agency or Legal Assistance of Western New York at 664-4535. Walk-ins are welcome.

Poland Senior Trip Is May 2

POLAND — The first Poland Senior Citizens trip for this year is Tuesday, May 2, to the Made in America store for shopping, then to the Roycroft Inn for lunch and a tour. Following lunch the group will go to Vidlers for more shopping. The trip costs $68. Those interested can call Sally Canniff at 358-4978. The deadline is April 10. Those who didn’t receive a trip sheet and want one should call Canniff.

MS Rap Group To Meet April 15

Is there an upside to living with Multiple Sclerosis? Come to the Chautauqua Regional Multiple Sclerosis rap group on Saturday, April 15 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Jones Hill Memorial Rehabilitation Center, first floor, 51 Glasgow Ave., Jamestown. This semi-structured support group has the goal of being both informative and fun. Snacks are provided. Those affected by the disease, including family and friends, are welcome to attend. Infinity Center To Host Day Camp

The Infinity Center will host a, “Spring into Music and Arts” day camp from Monday through Thursday. The camp will allow students to make art, film a movie, join a band, explore instruments and perform a skit. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Students between the ages of 5 and 12 are welcome. Cemetery To Begin Cleanup

SINCLAIRVILLE — A cemetery clean up will begin at the Sinclairville Evergreen Cemetery on Monday and continue throughout the month. All winter decor should be removed before cleanup begins. The association will be seeking bids for seasonal lawn care, which will be reviewed on April 25. Bid forms may be obtained by Betty Ridout at 962-2309.

Sportsman Show Planned Today

The Little Valley Volunteer Fire Department’s Sportman’s Show will take place today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 150 tables will be at the show. For further information on the sportmans’s show, contact Jim Miller at 938-6928 for details.
