Spring Bazaar

Set For Friday

The staff and residents of Lutheran in Jamestown will host the Spring Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. The free event is open to the public and will be held inside Christ Chapel on the Lutheran campus at 715 Falconer St. More than 20 vendors are scheduled to attend. Jewelry, clothing, pet items, home decor, baked goods, chair massages and more will be available. Packaged lunches will also be available in the lobby outside the event for $6. Lazarus Saturday, Blessing Planned

St. Elia Albanian Orthodox Church, 103 Palmer St., Jamestown, will hold Lazarus Saturday and Blessing of the Palms at 11 a.m. Saturday. Father John Hutnyan will officiate.

Legion To Host Strickland Duo

Lakewood Legion Post 1286 is hosting Steve Strickland Duo on Friday from 7-10 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5-9 p.m., specials are prime rib, broiled and fried fish. Dinner menu also available. All members and guests are welcome, please sign in.

Spring Medley

Set For Sunday

The Conewango Valley United Methodist Church will present a ”Spring Music Medley” with Paul Zittel and Jean Case on Sunday at 2 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will follow the concert.

Town Picnic

Auction Planned

ELLINGTON — The Ellington Town Picnic Association will hold a spring auction fundraiser on Sunday, April 9, at the Ellington Fire Hall. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the auction begins at 3 p.m. New merchandise will be auctioned including toys, household items, collectibles and clothing. New and gently used hand and power tools will also be sold. The auctioneer is Don McKuhn. Food and beverages will be sold by the Ellington Town Picnic Association. Proceeds will be used toward the Ellington Town Picnic to be held Aug. 4-6.

Auxiliary To

Meet Today

Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary board members will meet today at 6:30 p.m. The auxiliary will meet Monday, April 10 at 6 p.m. for its annual Fun Fun Dinner. The theme is the Roaring 20’s and prizes will be awarded for the best flapper or dapper. Dinner will be a choice of beef on weck or chicken salad on a croissant, potato salad or macaroni and cheese and dessert. The cost is $10 per person and includes beverage, tax and tip. Members should take a non-perishable item for the St. Susan Center.

Veterans Coalition To Hold Workshops

The Chautauqua County Veterans Coalition will be holding a pair of Veterans Benefits workshops. The first on Saturday in Dunkirk at the JCC North County Center Training Facility, 10807 Bennett Road. The second will be on April 29 in Jamestown at the JCC Student Union, 525 Falconer St., Jamestown. The workships are free to everyone. Pre-registration is appreciated but walk-ins are very welcome. Both events will have free legal consultations, credit/financial counseling, VA and GI Bill benefits counselors, employment training programs representatives, representative from local colleges and much more.
