Marvin House To Hold Luncheon

The Marvin House will hold the next of its monthly luncheons on Thursday at noon. The speaker will be John Paul Wolfe, who will speak about his experiences as curator of the McClure Museum in Westfield, as well as the history of the museum and mansion. For reservations, call the Marvin House at 488-6206.

Scholarships Being Accepted

The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for elementary, high school and college students interested in music or voice lessons, or furthering their education with music instruction. Applications are available online at crcfonline.org or by calling 661-3390.

Pomona Grange Hosting Banquet

Chautauqua County Pomona Grange will hold its annual banquet at the Green Arch Restaurant, 41 W. Main St., Brocton, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19. The main entree is chicken parmesan or chicken alfredo and will be $10, plus other choices at the going rate, payable at the end of the meal. Those planning to attend should contact Tom Hebiesen at 680-2211 by April 15. Public service awards and other awards will be given.

St. Susan Center

Open On Sunday

The St. Susan Center will be open Easter Sunday from noon-2 p.m. and serving a ham dinner. All are welcome to attend. The St. Susan Center is located at 31 Water St. in Jamestown.

Easter Cantata To Be Performed

The Baptist Church of Ellington, 530 Route 62, will celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior by performing the Easter cantata “My Redeemer Lives” on Saturday at 4 p.m. Dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt for children will follow. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.

City Easter Egg Hunt Saturday

The Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commission will host its 70th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Allen Park on Saturday. The hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. and will be divided into age groups. More than 3,000 eggs filled with candy will be hidden in the hunt area in the park. The Easter Bunny will arrive by fire truck to kick off the event.

Easter Egg Hunt At Temple School

KENNEDY — The Ellington Recreation Committee is partnering with the Poland Recreation Committee for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Temple Elementary School playground on Grubb Hill Road in Kennedy. It will start at 10 a.m. Saturday. All Ellington children are welcome to attend. For more information, call the Ellington Town Hall at 287-2026, ext. 3.

‘Sip ‘N Paint’ At Ellington Library

ELLINGTON — The Ellington Farman Library is holding a “Sip ‘n Paint” fundraiser at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25. The cost is $35 a person and includes painting supplies, instruction and refreshments, which include a variety of wines and light snacks. Laurel Austin-Smith will be the art instructor. She is an Ellington resident and an active volunteer for the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department.
