Chelsea Lu Fontana and Erik Christian Johanson exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 2, 2016, at the Karpales Manuscript Museum in Buffalo, N.Y. The Honorable Dean Lilac of Tonawanda, N.Y., performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Billy Brandau, organist.
The bride is the daughter of Michael Carr of Tonawanda, N.Y., and the late Pamela Fontana Carr and James and Jackie Fontana of Sheffield Lake, Ohio. Her husband is the son of Daniel and Rosanne Johanson of Jamestown, N.Y.
Heather Fontana, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jamie Behrns, Brianna Cantanzara, Belinda Catuzza, Katie Chojnacki, Hayley Keane and Jessica Reimers. Flower girl was Ireland McGovern.
Best man was John Kinney. Groomsmen were Lars Johanson, brother of the groom, Scott Duerr, Phil Hankinson, Kris Hulbert, Tim Partyka and Mike Timblin. Usher was Jimmy Fontana, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Andrew Blackwell.
The bride attended Jamestown Community College and is a graduate of Trocaire College, Buffalo, N.Y. She is employed as a pharmacy technician at Wellness Park Pharmacy in North Tonawanda, N.Y. Her husband is a graduate of Jamestown Community College, earned his bachelor’s degree from Hilbert College in Hamburg, N.Y., a graduate of the Erie County Law Enforcement Academy in Williamsville, N.Y., and is pursuing his master’s degree at Hilbert College in Hamburg, N.Y. He is employed as a police officer in Erie County, N.Y.
They honeymooned in the Caribbean.
They are living in North Tonawanda, N.Y.
