Rebecca Sorenson and Greg Van Tassel exchanged wedding vows on June 18, 2016 at First Lutheran Church, Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Daniel K. Nagle performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Brian Bogey, organist and Mary Lindeman, vocalist,

The bride is the daughter of Mickey Sorenson of Jamestown, N.Y., and Nannette and Tim Doolittle of Westfield, N.Y. Her husband is the son of Tim and DeAnn Van Tassel of Corry, Pa.

The bride wore a David’s Bridal Collection ivory tulle, fitted A-line gown with beaded chantilly lace appliques and a satin champagne sash.

Megan Sorenson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Sorenson, Marie Carpenter, Anna Wager, Anna Sandberg, Aubrey Crognale and Marina Rezk. Flower girls were Hannah Sorenson and Autumn Van Tassel

Best man was Jeff Thomas. Groomsmen were Nathan Van Tassel, Mike Van Tassel, Kyle Sorenson, Mark Roetzer, Jason Short and James Caflisch. Ring bearers were Wyatt Sorenson and Landan Van Tassel

Master and Mistress of ceremony were Brian and Kim Chase, cousin of the bride

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School, earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Allegheny College in 2009 and is pursuing a degree in nursing from Jamestown Community College. She is employed by the YWCA of Jamestown. Her husband is a 2006 graduate of Corry Area High School and attended Edinboro University. He is employed by Cummins Inc. in Ashville, N.Y.

They honeymooned in Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica.

They are living in Jamestown, N.Y.
