Free Foot Clinic To Be Offered At St. Luke’s Church
Podiatry Associates of Jamestown and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will once again be collaborating to provide a free foot care clinic for community members on Maundy Thursday, March 29 from 9-11 a.m. in the church undercroft. The church is located at 410 N. Main St. in Jamestown.
Clinic participants are asked to use the Fourth Street entrance, on the corner of Fourth and Main streets. Dr. George R. Vito, of Podiatry Associates of Jamestown, who will be conducting the clinic, works in both the Jamestown and Warren offices and has over 30 years of experience. He is also associated with UPMC and Warren General Hospital.
Dr. Vito and his staff will be offering foot baths, diabetic foot exams and more. These basic services will be available at no cost to the public.
“We are happy to be able to offer this free service to people who might not otherwise receive this type of care.” Vito said. “We are honored to collaborate with St. Luke’s for the clinic and look forward to it each year.”
St. Luke’s began offering the foot clinic three years ago as a compliment to its “Fourth Street Cafe,” a community outreach program for area residents that meets at St. Luke’s every Thursday at 11am.
