VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

— Canteen and Blood Bank volunteers for American Red Cross

— Health and fitness opportunities for the community

— Data entry: sharpen your skills at local non-profit agencies

— Kitchen Help: prepping, serving, hosting

— Creating portfolios

¯ WCA Hospital has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. From student volunteer positions, to adult volunteer opportunities, WCA is seeking compassionate individuals who are willing to share their time and talents toward the betterment of patients and guests. Volunteers serve in various areas of the hospital including patient transportation, gift shop assistance, office work support, front desk support at the Main Lobby Information Desk, and more. ¯ Chautauqua County RSVP is in need of a few volunteers to assist in the following areas:

– Mentor a child: For one hour per week, make a world of difference in the success of an assigned child

– Medical Transportation: help individuals by chauffeuring clients to out-of-town specialist appointments as referred by their local physicians. Help them comply with their plan of care; mileage reimbursement options available

– Environment: outside placements to help the environment

– Senior Companionship — many individuals who are disabled or unable to leave their homes need some conversation, interaction and friendship. Chat and share experiences.

– Supplemental Food Distribution – help individuals and families who find it difficult to make ends meet and seek places to get food to feed themselves or their families

¯ Lutheran Foster Grandparents is seeking kind-hearted individuals, aged 55 and older, to volunteer cooperatively with a teacher offering one-on-one attention to an assigned children in the classroom. Wonderful benefits and if you are income eligible, you may earn a tax-free stipend. If you would like to work with children please consider calling Erin Green, Project Coordinator at 665-5354.
