BEMUS POINT — A grant from the Carnahan-Jackson Foundation helped the Bemus Point Library pay for a new lighting system.

The project replaced light fixtures in the ceiling with more environmentally friendly and energy efficient LED fixtures. Thirty-five fixtures were replaced by contractor Jeffrey Molnar of Batteries Plus Bulbs.

It is expected that the library will experience cost savings in labor and in energy.

The Bemus Point Library is open on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays from 1-5 p.m.; Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
