Sam and Allene Nalbone of Penfield, N.Y., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3, 2015, with the renewal of their vows and a party at Moonbrook Country Club in Jamestown, N.Y. The renewal of vows was performed by the Hon. Mayor Samuel Teresi, who also gave the couple a copy of their original marriage certificate and the key to city of Jamestown, N.Y. They are the parents of Sandy (Craig) Olson, Rochester, N.Y., Carl F. Nalbone, Long Beach, Calif., and Steve (Sherry) Nalbone, Franklin Lakes, N.J. They have two grandchildren: Jenn (Jamie) Pucci, Fairport, N.Y., and Steve (Brooke Morris) Olson, Smyrna, Ga. They also have two great-grandsons: Ty and Sam Pucci, Fairport, N.Y. Also celebrating this anniversary with the couple were Angelo Nalbone of Jamestown, N.Y., uncle of the groom, and Rosie (Bennie) Cardinale, sister of the groom. Out of town guests attended from California, Florida and Pennsylvania.

Nalbone and the former Allene Jacobson were married Oct 20, 1945, in St. John’s Rectory, Jamestown, N.Y. Father Austin Bellerio performed the ceremony.

Nalbone is a retired ombudsman for the city of Jamestown.
